Garden Size - A Few Calculations

We plan on creating a garden of about 2 acres at the Pleasant Avenue site. So how many potential gardeners could a space that size accommodate?

If we set aside 1/4 of the garden for things like paths, public areas, storage, and composting, we are left with 65,340 sq. ft. of growing space.

With average plot sizes from 10 x 10 ft. to 10 x 20 ft., we could create gardening spaces for approximately 325 to 650 people or families.

Now that's a lot of gardeners.
